J Tomlinson is a company built on strong foundations, with a substantial heritage and a wealth of experience in delivering integrated building solutions, from design and build through to refurbishment and repair.


Our extensive portfolio of services covers the whole building lifecycle from construction to refurbishment, mechanical and electrical services, repairs and maintenance and facilities management, we offer a fully integrated solution, within social housing and the built environment.

We work from a network of regional offices in the East Midlands, West Midlands and Yorkshire, each supported by our head office in Nottingham.

With a commitment to customer service excellence, our teams pride themselves on delivering the very best customer experience, using a personalised approach to understand our customer’s specific needs.

J Tomlinson has successfully secured appointment to several frameworks covering a broad range of services from property improvements, retrofit, kitchen and bathrooms, gas servicing and maintenance, refurbishment and construction.

If partnered with J Tomlinson through one of these frameworks, we will deliver to our customers; best value, flexible procurement, high delivery standards, and a tailored customer approach.

We also work across the Midlands and Yorkshire on numerous contracting authority frameworks with local authorities, the emergency services and education establishments.

We regularly hold learning and development training across our business to ensure all our employees have the most up to date knowledge to carry out work safely, effectively and to the highest standards.

We provide ongoing training on our sites and across our offices to keep our operatives and employees up to date with the latest in legislation and safety standards.

We are a value driven organisation that respects, appreciates and understands our employees. We are committed to our people and we believe it is this that drives excellent service for our customers.

We provide regular training for our apprentices and trainees, operatives, office and site based employees. We invest further in our employees through our appraisal process and offer CPD training in line with specific career aspirations and skills gaps. We also provide NVQ, BTEC, diploma and degree level study and qualifications for our people.
