Job Description


The Opportunity

Due to continued growth within our Facilities Management Department, we are seeking a Commercial Electrician to undertake all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance, minor installation and fault finding on electrical installations within commercial and industrial properties.

This will be a full time and permanent position at 40 hours per week. Working hours will be 8.00am – 4.30pm. The role will be based around various sites around the South Central Region. The successful candidate will be subject to a mandatory DBS/CRB check and Police vetting before commencing works.

The Candidate

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all works are undertaken without risk to safety or the environment and fully compliant with legislation and company procedures whilst remaining commercially viable.
  • Undertaking planned maintenance and reactive calls to a wide range of commercial electrical installations, including fault diagnosis and investigation.
  • Undertaking basic multi trade activities on mechanical and building fabric.
  • Ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is fully completed in line with company procedures, legislative requirements and industry standards.
  • Participating in the call out rota.
  • Some infrequent work away from home and overtime.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the level of the post.

Experience:

  • Experienced gained on commercial properties including aged equipment and installations and 3 phase supplies.
  • Experience with emergency light testing and fire alarms would also be desirable.

Safety – Follows safety precautions and displays safe on-the-job behaviour.

Service Orientation – Creates customer loyalty through courteous, timely and helpful service;

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds 2330, 2360 or equivalent.
  • 17 Edn Wiring Regulations
  • AM2 or NVQ level 3
  • 2394 and 2395 or 2391 Testing and Inspection Certification
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • UK Driving Licence

Preferred qualification’s

  • ECS Card.
  • JIB Gold card
  • 2394 and 2395 or 2391 Testing and Inspection Certification
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations
