J Tomlinson thrilled as two employees named as finalists for the 2017 East Midlands fbe Awards
October 2, 2017
Two members of the J Tomlinson team have been shortlisted as Rising Stars in the East Midlands fbe Awards.
It is the second year running that Joe Gent has been shortlisted for the prestigious award, and this year he is also joined by J Tomlinson bid manager Tom Sowerby.
The Best Rising Star Award aims to highlight and reward individuals working within the construction sector in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire or Nottinghamshire, who are under 30 years of age and who have shone in their field.
Both Joe and Tom have demonstrated outstanding talent within their area of expertise. Joe, who joined us in 2012 as a mechanical and electrical engineering apprentice, is currently in his final year of his HNC Electrical and Electronic Engineering course and is now a trainee M&E quantity surveyor.
Tom, who is currently responsible for J Tomlinson’s tender submissions, joined the team in August 2014 as a bid assistant after finishing his degree at The University of Oxford. Throughout his time with us Tom has excelled within his department, being appointed bid manager earlier this year.
The finals of the awards, which are expected to attract more than 150 professionals from the construction, development and property sector in the region, take place on 12th October at the City Rooms in Leicester.
J Tomlinson CEO Mark Davis said: “We are thrilled that two of our employees have been shortlisted in the East Midlands fbe Awards. We believe our people are our greatest asset and Joe and Tom have demonstrated a high level of professionalism, commitment and talent.
“We are proud to have them as part of the J Tomlinson team and wish them, and all of the finalists, the best of luck at the awards ceremony next month.”
