We have an exciting opportunity for a marketing and tech-savvy individual to join J Tomlinson’s award-winning team as an Apprentice Marketing Assistant.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will gain experience in every aspect of marketing, from copywriting and PR to social media, design and event management. You will be supporting internal and external marketing initiatives across all areas of our growing business whilst gaining the skills and knowledge required to pursue a qualified marketing role.
• Gathering project information from site visits, the bid team and operational teams, which you will then use to create engaging case studies and other marketing content
• Monitoring, recording and analysing the company’s social media presence
• Creating and posting relevant social media content
• Creating content for our quarterly employee newsletter
• Communicating good news stories both inside and outside of the business
• Updating the company website and Intranet
• Assisting with the organisation of internal and external events
• Providing occasional support to the Bid Team

GCSE grade 6/B or above – English Language
GCSE grade 4/C or above – Media Studies
GCSE 4/C or above – IT
Communication – excellent written and verbal communication skills
Microsoft Office knowledge and experience – particularly Word and Powerpoint
Social media knowledge and experience – particularly LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook
Organisation – employing a measured and methodical approach to all tasks
Time management – careful planning to ensure deadlines are met
Teamwork – you’ll work well within a group, as well as independently
Full driving licence
