Job Description

Objectives / Purpose of Role

To oversee the running of Gas Contracts through effective management of KPIs, SLAs, finances and resource

Specific Responsibilities


  • To have a comprehensive understanding of the clients needs, and contract specifics including KPI’s, SLA’s, Costings, works to be undertaken and social value commitments
  • Delegate responsibility of tasks effectively and in line within the client’s requirements.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report KPI’s and SLA’s and ensure measures are in place to capture and implement corrective actions to ensure performance targets are hit.
  • Accurate Monthly forecasting of contracts.
  • End of Month analysis of the figures for each contract.
  • Identify opportunities for maximising profit and streamline processes.
  • Debtors to be kept under control and with £0 outstanding in the over 60 days column, any issues to be escalated to the Operations Manager.
  • Managing Labour resource, to maximise production and efficiencies.
  • To attend client meetings, and ensure all outstanding actions are complete prior to each meeting.
  • Ensure all WIPS are completed in a timely manner.
  • To complete weekly Key objectives and send in by the required time each week.
  • Support the Out of hours team with any queries.

Quality Control and Compliance

  • Monitor and report any Health and Safety issues and complete the relevant paperwork required in a timely manner.
  • Be 100% Compliant on Gas servicing, PSR (Property status reports) to be checked weekly to spot early signs of failure, and to put measures in place to rectify.
  • To be present at the quarterly Gas meetings set by J Tomlinson’s.
  • To ensure all engineers are up to date with all Technical Bulletins or changes to process.
  • Host toolbox talks as and when required.
  • To monitor PPE/Tools and ensure all is in date and in good working condition.
  • To ensure all failed QC checks are dealt with within the timescales set.

Experience and Knowledge
A minimum of 3 yrs experience in the same or similar role. (Essential)

Experience in managing People. (Essential)

Full Gas ACS Qualifications. (Essential)

SMSTS OR SSSTS or Equivalent (Essential)

Asbestos Awareness. (Desirable)

UK Driving Licence (Essential)
