Objectives / Purpose of Role
To support both internal staff and Engineers on Gas Safety and Technical advice. To also support the Gas Contracts Managers on day to day issues.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Technical Advice and support to Key Clients/Staff and Engineers.
  • Complete Quotations for extra works and record and manage on the quote tracker.
  • To carry quality control checks on the engineer’s paperwork. % dependant on client demands.
  • To visit sites with engineers who may be having difficulties with diagnosis, to assist with fault finding, or other technical issues the engineers may have.
  • To monitor Van stocks and parts ordered by engineers, complete annual audits to ensure the parts are required in line with current stock.
  • Be a mentor to apprentices and engineers and help them with their personal development needs and technical knowledge and skills.
  • WIP assessments, to complete a WIP assessment form for each engineer allocated and in the time frames that are set.
  • To support the onboarding of the engineers through Tablet training/completion of paperwork/shadowing engineers until comfortable to go out on their own, providing support throughout.
  • To follow through any failed qc audits, completing a thorough investigation and complete a response to SHEQ within the timescales set.
  • To manage and subcontractors or agency workers through paperwork and quality control as an internal employee.
  • To ensure the callout rota is covered.

Experience and Knowledge
A minimum of 10 yrs experience working on Gas repairs in a similar environment (Preferably social housing if Domestic)

To have an excellent knowledge of various types of Heating systems.

Full ACS Qualifications, Renewables would be advantageous.

Must be approachable and easy to get along with by Clients and Internal staff.

To be able to work well under pressure and to be able to hit tight deadlines set by his/her peers.
