Job Description


To support the Contracts Manager in day to day management of the contract, providing support in technical, operational and people management areas to achieve KPIs and SLA targets
Specific Responsibilities
Operational / Technical

    • Monitor, evaluate and report on KPI and SLA target performance within teams. Identify opportunities to improve performance
    • Ensure delivery of services on site are in line with contract requirements and operating in line with SLAs
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies of resource, service delivery, processes etc.
  • Provide technical advice and onsite support to client, staff and engineers
  • Conduct and monitor audits on engineer van stocks and parts and conduct WIPs within required timescales
  • Support with contract financial reporting including producing measures, quotes, tenders, budgets. Report and update the Contract Manager on financial performance and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relations, attending contract meetings as requested and closing out any subsequent actions
  • Monitor the performance and conduct management of engineers, providing support and guidance where needed and escalating issues where necessary
  • Mentor and develop the engineers through onboarding new starters, tablet training, identifying development needs and providing technical support and knowledge

 

Compliance

  • Ensure engineer and subcontractor compliance to H&S procedures on site, conducting QC checks on works completed in line with procedures and providing recommendations and support on improvements
  • Ensure updates to processes, technical bulletins, TBTs etc. are implemented across working practices of engineers and subcontractors

People Management

  • Onboarding – Follows internal processes for interviewing and offers. Has user guides and objectives in place for new starters and you coach and mentor them to successfully integrate them into the team
  • Employee Development and Compliance – Understand your teams’ strengths and areas for growth and work with them to grow within their role through development plans and adaptive styles. You can give constructive feedback and display a positive attitude toward self-development. Supports and reviews Apprentices. Manages the compliance of your teams training and licences
  • Leadership and Management – Creates the ‘buzz’ and acts as role model for the team. Integrates and displays the One Team wheel values. Adaptative and flexible management style. Manages issues without need for escalation and promote teamwork and strong team relationships
