J Tomlinson is delighted to have scooped second place in the Social Responsibility Company of the Year category at the 2017 National Energy Efficiency and Healthy Homes Awards, which were announced at a lavish ceremony on Friday 29th September.
Representatives from more than 500 businesses gathered at the ceremony, which took place at NEC Birmingham’s Hilton Metropole, saw over 500 people gather to recognise and champion exceptional strides made within the ever-critical energy efficiency sector. Organised by Campbell Braybrooke Ltd, a specialist energy efficiency and environment events company, the National Energy Efficiency and Healthy Homes Awards are a must-attend for businesses that are dedicated to improving UK housing stock.
The coveted Social Responsibility Company of the Year award focuses on the impact nominated businesses have on their local communities, with a special emphasis placed on the use of energy efficiency schemes in helping to meet social responsibility targets. J Tomlinson’s extensive work in reducing unemployment rates and inspiring future generations, as well as the company’s dedication to helping clients and their customers save money and promote sustainability helped the firm scoop second place in the category
Two of the company’s clients also triumphed at the awards, with Ashfield District Homes receiving high commendation in the ‘Landlord of the Year’ category and Bromford Housing Group taking third place in Small Scale Project of the Year.
CEO of J Tomlinson, Mark Davis, commented: “This is the first year J Tomlinson has entered the Energy Efficiency and Healthy Homes Awards and we are beyond proud to have been recognised in an area that is so important to us. The highest honour for us – as a people-focused company – is being seen not just as a business, but simply as a group of like-minded, compassionate people who are committed to helping and supporting others wherever we can.”
Launched in 2015, the National Energy Efficiency & Healthy Homes Awards celebrate the outstanding work being undertaken within the energy efficiency sector, helping people to reduce their energy bills, tackle fuel poverty and minimise carbon emissions.
In partnership with Bromford Housing Group, and worldwide heating and hot water corporation, Vaillant, J Tomlinson took home Small Scale Project of the Year at the regional Energy Efficiency & Healthy Homes awards in May following a District Ground Source Heat Pump scheme in Shropshire that is anticipated to save over 41,000kgCO2 and around £3,675 of fuel savings in its first year of operation alone.
