David Adams

Executive Chairman
David is a Chartered Accountant and has many years’ experience working within the built environment. Having acquired J Tomlinson in 1995, David has overseen its development into a multidisciplinary service provider. Now as our Executive Chairman, David works alongside the board overseeing all aspects of the business. David enjoys spending time with his family and raising money for charity. In 2016 he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for the Derbyshire Children's Holiday Centre.

Mark Davis

Chief Executive
Mark joined J Tomlinson early in 2014 to take the business in a new direction. He has many years’ experience working in the built environment with extensive board experience extending over 23 years’. He is passionate about developing the business through its people and aspires to build senior management teams within each division. Mark is a keen sportsman, enjoys playing cricket and keeping fit.

Martin Gallagher

Managing Director - Construction and Commercial Refurbishment
Martin is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 30 years’ experience of construction in the Midlands and heads up our construction team. Outside of work, Martin is a keen football supporter, likes classic cars, motorsport and holidaying with his family.

Steve Kirkland

Managing Director Repairs and Maintenance and Facilities Management
Steve originally began his career working as a pipe fitter and welder. He now has 40 years’ experience in the industry heading up our Repairs and Maintenance and Facilities Management teams. As our company Health and Safety champion, Steve has a passion for all things Health and Safety. Outside of work Steve enjoys keeping active, going running and taking part in marathons.

Antony Newton

Regeneration Director
Antony heads up our Regeneration team, joining J Tomlinson in 2016 he quickly became Regeneration Director. Ant has over 24 years’ experience in the construction industry with an extensive commercial background. Ant is a keen Manchester United supporter and plays very average golf.

Tony O’Toole

Managing Director - Mechanical and Electrical
Tony joined the J Tomlinson team in 2016 with many years’ experience working for National Organisations in all Construction Sectors. He will be focused on delivering the growth plans and operations of our M&E division. Tony enjoys playing golf and is a keen football supporter.

Pete Woods

Construction Director
Pete began his career in 1994 as an apprentice joiner working his way up Construction Director in 2016. He now heads up our Refurbishment team delivering interiors solutions for customers across the Midlands and Yorkshire. Pete enjoys spending time with his family and two boys and is a keen football supporter.

Claire Kershaw

Director of Business Development
Claire joined the J Tomlinson team in the summer of 2016 following many years’ experience working within the built environment. She now heads up the business development, marketing and bid teams. Outside of work she sings in a cover band and loves keeping active, especially running and going to the gym.

Simon Noble

Group Finance Director
Simon joined the business in the summer of 2017 and is a qualified accountant with 30 years’ experience across a wide variety of industry sectors, including Civil Engineering, Construction and Manufacturing. When he’s not working or running around after his young family, Simon enjoys cycling and following multi-sport events, and whatever time is left is spent with family and friends perfecting his BBQ skills!

Carl Derrick

Mechanical and Electrical Pre-Construction Director
Carl has been with J Tomlinson since 2003 and heads up our M&E team. An electrician by trade, he worked his way to become the departments Director overseeing our design, engineering and on site teams. Carl has extensive experience in delivering large building services project across the UK. Outside of work Carl enjoys playing football, is a keen football supporter and enjoys spending time with his family.

Martin Ardron

Operations Director
Martin joined J Tomlinson in 2015 to work within our Repairs and Maintenance and Facilities Management teams. Martin has many years’ experience working in the built environment beginning his careers as a gas engineer. He enjoys keeping fit, walking the dog, and holidaying with his family.

Julian Webber

Head of HR and Learning and Development
Julian joined the J Tomlinson team in January 2016 to head up the HR team and to drive forward our People Strategy. A Chartered HR professional with over 20 years’ HR experience gained with leading organisations in construction, transport and the energy and utilities industry. Outside of work Julian is a keen tennis player.

Jim Hardie

Construction Manager
Jim began his career as a Site Engineer working his way up through Project Management of various multi-faceted schemes to the position of Construction Manager within our growing Construction division. Jim oversees our construction projects across the Midlands and Yorkshire. He enjoys holidaying abroad, watching Nottingham Forest and time with his family.

Ian West

Operations Manager
Ian has extensive experience working with local governments and in the built environment with over 30 years’ experience. Ian joined J Tomlinson as part of our Regeneration team working on our planned housing refurbishments. Ian is very family orientated, a keen football fan and enjoys going spinning.

Lindsey Hobson

Business Development Manager
Lindsey joined the J Tomlinson business development team in 2016 to work with our Social Housing and Facilities Management teams. Lindsey joins us with many years’ experience working with other leading housing and public sector contractors. Away from work Lindsey enjoys spending time with her family.

Dave Fisher

Operations Manager
Dave is a Gas Engineer by trade and has worked his way up to become Operations Manager in 2016. Dave works within our Repairs and Maintenance and Facilities Management teams overseeing operations. Outside of work Dave is a black belt and Judo teacher. Dave swims Lake Windermere every year for Kidney Research UK at their annual fundraising event. He also competed with Team Nottingham at the National Transplant Games 2016.

Andrea Jones

Business Development Manager
Andrea joined the team in 2014 to head up business development for our construction department. Based in the West Midlands, she has had 20 years’ experience working within the industry. Andrea now oversees opportunities for both construction and refurbishment across the East Midlands, West Midlands and Yorkshire. Outside of work Andrea enjoys holidaying in Cornwall, going to the gym and watching her son perform at gigs.

Alex Slater

Pre-Construction Manager
Alex has been with J Tomlinson for 11 years and is now taking up his role as Pre-Construction Manager in 2016 with 20 years in the industry. He heads up all the commercial aspects within our refurbishment team. Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his family and going carp fishing at weekends.

Paul McGeady

Head of IT
Paul joined J Tomlinson in 2016 to head up our IT team. He has worked for over 20 years’ managing and delivering IT projects and teams. Paul is a keen football lover and is part owner of non-league football club FC United of Manchester. Paul also enjoys playing the guitar in his band “MankyBeds”.

Louise Morris

Business Development Manager
Louise joined the J Tomlinson business development team in May 2017, working alongside our construction and refurbishment divisions operating within the East Midlands and Yorkshire. With 10 years’ experience working within the FM industry, Louise specialises in building and maintaining long-term partnerships with clients. In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit and spending time with her family!

Richard Ball

Head of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality
Richard joined J Tomlinson as Head of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality in 2016 with over 26 years’ experience accrued within both the public and private construction sector. Since joining he and his team have helped to change the image of compliance to one of support and advice. Richard is a keen West Bromwich Albion fan and devoted family man.
