J Tomlinson Apprentice, Dannielle, Triumphs at Made in the Midlands Awards 2018
March 20, 2018
J Tomlinson’s very own Dannielle Baguley made us all exceptionally proud at the recent Made in the Midlands Apprentice Awards 2018 when she took home the ‘Pride’ award for her unwavering ambition and her dedication to benefitting the local community.
Dannielle, who is an Apprentice Resident Liaison Officer (RLO), works within the company’s regeneration team, delivering support to residents of Ashfield District Council whilst they have improvement works undertaken on their properties. In 2017, she joined J Tomlinson after completing her school studies at Sutton Academy, having wanted to pursue an apprenticeship within a rewarding and supportive environment.
The awards, hosted for the first time by training provider, CT Skills, were held during National Apprenticeship Week 2018 in March, and received over 50 nominations from leading Midlands-based employers keen for the valuable work of their apprentices to be recognised on a wider-scale.
Eighteen individuals made the shortlist, with five overall winners announced during the ceremony. Each winner was selected for outstanding performance in their implementation of the CT Skills core values, comprising Pride, Respect, Accountability, Integrity and Service Excellence.
Ian West, Operations Manager (Regeneration) at J Tomlinson, commented: “I would say to anyone considering undertaking an apprenticeship; this qualification is the most important one you will ever achieve. At J Tomlinson, we are strong believers in developing individuals, which is why we line up training programmes with CT Skills that will give the individual the experience required to grow within our business.”
Dannielle is also part of a wider team within J Tomlinson that has recently been shortlisted for two TPAS awards – ‘Team of the Year’ and ‘Excellence in Contractor Engagement.’ Winners are due to be announced next month.
