J Tomlinson chooses charities for 2020

December 20, 2019

Caring employees at building services company J Tomlinson have selected the charities to be supported by staff during 2020.

Voting on the preferred charity took place across the company – resulting in a tie for Cancer Research UK and the RSPCA.

As always, J Tomlinson will be supporting nationwide initiatives such as Wear it Pink, in aid of Breast Cancer Now, and Dementia Awareness. However, all money raised from internal fundraising events will be donated to the chosen good causes.

Chief executive Mark Davis said: “There are many kind, passionate and caring people working at J Tomlinson, who are dedicated to supporting charities and worthy causes. Alongside the regular national charity fundraising days, I’m very pleased to say that we will be supporting two additional causes – the RSPCA and Cancer Research UK.”

About the RSPCA and Cancer Research UK

The RSPCA is the UK’s leading animal welfare charity. Cancer Research UK undertakes pioneering research into cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment and is the world’s largest charity dedicated to saving lives through research.

J Tomlinson, which was founded in Nottingham the 1950s, works primarily across the Midlands, Yorkshire and Northern and Central England.

The company provides a range of sustainable building solutions including refurbishment, repairs and maintenance, engineering services, extra care construction, renewable energy, and facilities management, working across a range of key sectors including extra care, healthcare, blue light, social housing and local government.
