J Tomlinson Handover £4.9m Housing Development to Jigsaw Homes Midlands

J Tomlinson are proud to announce the completion and handover of Stockinger House on behalf of Jigsaw Homes Midlands.

The highly anticipated housing development for people aged over 55 has officially opened its doors to awaiting residents, following a 21-month development programme delivered by J Tomlinson.

The new three-storey scheme was built on the site of the former Lendrum Court scheme and consists of 34 apartments, each complete with kitchens and bathrooms, along with a guest bedroom, communal areas, assisted bathroom, staff office, and living spaces.

J Tomlinson commenced works during September 2020, comprising of the demolition of the existing Lendrum Court, the design and build of 34 apartments, ground redemption, associated external works, and road services.

J Tomlinson Chief Executive, Mark Davis said: “J Tomlinson is delighted to have worked in close collaboration with Jigsaw Homes once again to deliver a state-of-the-art accommodation, which will bring considerable benefits to residents and their local community.

“We value the vitality behind providing and supporting the wellbeing of elderly and vulnerable residents, which is equally shared with Jigsaw Homes. During such a difficult time within housing, we hope that our collaborative scheme can relieve current pressures and residents can enjoy a peaceful life in their new home.”

J Tomlinson have previously worked in collaboration with Jigsaw Homes Midlands to deliver a range of new build and refurbishment schemes across Nottinghamshire, including Walton Court and Moreland Court.

Jigsaw Homes Chief Executive, Hilary Roberts said: “We are all about providing good quality, affordable housing which is exactly what Stockinger House is. By replacing a scheme that was no longer fit for purpose, we are creating not just a new development but a new community and it was wonderful to meet so many residents who now call this home.”
