J Tomlinson hands over luxury care home in Somerset

Construction, refurbishment and maintenance specialist J Tomlinson has handed over the latest in its portfolio of luxury, new-build care homes.
Poets Mews Care Home, located in Clevedon, Somerset, was constructed over a 20-month programme under a design and build contract. The 80-bed residential facility is equipped with a therapy room, hair salon, cinema, library, and three restaurants and will offer residential, dementia and respite care.
The £7.6m project was delivered in partnership with premium care provider, Avery Healthcare, after J Tomlinson was appointed to construct the development following a comprehensive tender and negotiation process. The scheme also comprised the creation of a communal garden and 28 car parking spaces, as well as associated landscaping works.
The new home is expected to create around 90 new jobs and is due to open in September.

Extra Care Construction and Refurbishment Specialists
Poets Mews marks the latest in a range of new-build extra care facility that J Tomlinson has managed during the last 18 months, with recently completed developments including Chawley Grove Care Home in Oxford, delivered in conjunction with Hamberley Care, as well as Limbrick Place in Coventry, delivered in conjunction with HB Villages.
The company is also progressing with another specialist care facility in Worcester, which is expected to be handed over in November.
