First Winner of J Tomlinson’s On-Site Valued Employee Award Announced

A Linsco-managed labourer who is assisting with a major redevelopment scheme that J Tomlinson is managing at the Grade II* listed Drapers’ Hall building in Coventry is the first person to have won J Tomlinson’s newly introduced, site-based Valued Employee Award.
Mark A., who was nominated by the project team in testament to his friendly, efficient, and safety-driven approach, was presented with a certificate and a Morrison’s voucher by Project Manager, Richard, and Contracts Manager, Craig, last week.
After the successful introduction of the new award, it will now be a recurring monthly feature, continuing to celebrate individuals in the business. Each month site staff will vote for a person - not part of their own company - who they feel should be rewarded for being a valued member on site.
Refurbishment of Grade II* Listed Drapers Hall Building
J Tomlinson was appointed to restore Coventry’s Grade II* listed Drapers Hall in time for the city being UK City of Culture in 2021, with works being set to complete this Summer.
Works comprised of a refurbishment of the existing building, which is in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter. This will breathe new life into the historic site and create a facility which will be used to educate young musicians from Coventry schools and for the performance of professional classical music. The project is being led by Historic Coventry Trust and managed by The Prince’s Foundation.
