J Tomlinson Secure £1.6m Grade II* Listed Refurbishment Scheme in Partnership with Erewash Borough Council

J Tomlinson are proud to be delivering a comprehensive conversion scheme of the Grade II* listed Old Stables into state-of-the-art business studios on behalf of Erewash Borough Council.
The Long Eaton based establishment will be transformed to create modern office spaces, achieved through the demolition and internal strip out of the existing interior, followed by installation, fit-out, and additional mechanical and electrical works delivered by J Tomlinson’s in-house M&E team.
The scheme is part of the council’s successful bid to central Government as part of its Town Deal Fund and will provide great business opportunities for the local area.
J Tomlinson Managing Director for Refurbishment, Iain Davies said: “It is a privilege to be working in collaboration with the council to regenerate a landmark of the local area. We are working closely with the council and specialists to bring the building back to life, whilst ensuring that the historic beauty of the building is maintained.”
Councillor Bryn Lewis, Lead Member for Town Centres at Erewash Borough Council said: “It is excellent that work is due to get underway imminently on one of the Town Deal projects. This marks an exciting milestone as projects are now becoming a reality. This is fantastic for the town and I look forward to it being completed and seeing it utilised as a base for businesses in Long Eaton and the surrounding area.”
J Tomlinson have previously worked in collaboration with Erewash Borough Council, delivering a refurbishment scheme at Toll Bar House in Ilkeston.
