About the 2021 Northern Housing Awards
Launched in 2018, the Northern Housing Awards celebrate and promote outstanding achievements made by the Northern Powerhouse’s affordable housing providers and their supply chain partners in creating affordable housing, changing lives, and helping communities to thrive.
This year’s judging panel is comprised of a range of prominent Northern housing industry professionals, including Tracy Harrison (chief executive of the Northern Housing Consortium) Lucy Lovatt (senior partnership manager at Homes England) and Ian Wardle (group chief executive at Thirteen Housing Group).
Winners will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony which will take place on the afternoon of Thursday 13th May 2021, allowing housing professionals to reconnect with colleagues and peers from the safety and comfort of their homes. The winning companies and individuals will then have the opportunity to appear and speak at a virtual Insight Conference on Tuesday 1st June.
Quote from Mark Davis, chief executive at J Tomlinson
Mark Davis, chief executive at J Tomlinson, commented: “We are delighted to announce our shortlisting for the Northern Housing Awards’ coveted ‘Contractor of the Year’ title.
“Working within over 80,000 occupied homes per year, J Tomlinson’s approach is centred around the provision of excellent customer care, resident engagement, efficiency, community benefits, and value for money.
“We take a partnership approach to social responsibility and community investment that surpasses the standard ‘client/contractor’ relationship and are really proud to appear as finalists alongside some of the most prominent housing organisations in the North.
“The Covid-19 pandemic has challenged all sectors, including housing, and it really is excellent to see so many organisations making significant contributions to transforming and enhancing the lives of individuals and communities in the face of adversity. Congratulations and best of luck to all finalists.”
