J Tomlinson has been out and about delivering food to those in need across Burton and South Derbyshire.

The company is supporting housing association Trent & Dove, who – every year – donates and distributes a wide range of non-perishable food products to nominated tenants as part of their annual Christmas Food Bag project.

The campaign saw J Tomlinson travelling across Burton-upon-Trent and surrounding areas, visiting family homes, sheltered accommodation, care facilities and more. Amongst staple food products such as pasta, soup and cooking sauces, the parcels contained typically seasonal products that many of us take for granted over the Christmas period, including mince pies, cake, preserves and tinned goods.

The construction company also provided tenants with a variety of mini-gifts, including sweet treats and stationery items.

Trent & Dove housing association provides affordable housing services across East Staffordshire, South Derbyshire and North-West Leicestershire. J Tomlinson has worked with the association for over seven years, providing gas servicing, maintenance and installation works, including a 24/7 emergency call-out facility.

This is the 9th year that Trent & Dove has led the Christmas Food Gift campaign, and support for the initiative locally remains strong with funding contributed from the housing association’s Residents’ Federation. This Christmas, over 120 residents will benefit from the initiative.
